Qumi, or hope that someone will make a translation-mod. Then it'll be possible to buy game online and use that mod.

Quote (Денисик) Hi. As I know, Akella is owner of all rights for the D3. So, if there's still no translations from russian for another languages, you (and everyone else) can simply by the russian version in any NET-shop, which is closer to you. If you don't know or like russian - learn it or site and wait for the translation. I don't like english, but had to buy games on it a few years ago, and learn the language too. Yeah well, maybe you haven't noticed but English is an international language that is more or less known everywhere, whereas Russian isn't. Also it should be pointed out that Russian uses different alphabet, what makes it even more "exotic". The fact that you don't like English is meaningless, as it is an international language, used by organizations to contact. So learning language, with its very different alphabet, sufficiently to understand what the campaign heroes will say is rather impossible, one would need few months, even years to do it. The international community is here neglected, even by officials, which is quite bad and demoralizing. Not to mention the Akella's bad organization, it aspires to be a worldwide known publisher but at the same time makes such horrible mistakes as not providing a publisher for one of its most known games. I wonder if Diablo 3 or Starcraft 2 (or any other game you would die to get) would be only in Japanese you would also say: Learn it or wait, without any complains, just taking it for granted.

Qumi, you've just spent 5 minutes writing this message. Instead of this you could, at least, study Russian alphabet. And seriously speaking, I suppose that everything will be normal with English version of the Game. You should just wait for a season.

Quote (Qumi) It really presents Akella in bad light :/ To tell the truth, Akella probably is the publisher most disliked by fans (if we take fan reaction on different forums). So everything I can say except "wait for a release info" is that the foreign community should hope for the good, but be prepared for the worst. Akella may release D3 outside Russia after a patch or two, practically finishing testing the game on customers, so you'll be getting a late game but with less bugs, as it was with King's Bounty. Still, knowing some facts about the localizators, I can only pray to the Highfather (or whoever) that you folks will not get an awful translation.

Quote (Денисик) it is possible to reach a translation-mod True, but there still gotta be a hero who is capable of translating a whole game. I tried once - I couldn't. =_= Also, such things as voice files also exist. And that won't affect the official translation that Akella will produce. It will be kinda ironic if a fan-made translation will be better than the official one.

Quote (ArchWarlock) gotta be a hero who is capable of translating a whole game. No. It depends on the strength of fan's will A strong community can do this. If it's really strong enough in it's will:) But, as I remember, a few days ago AKELLA signed an agreement with someone for international release of D3R. (do you need prooflink?) So, as I understood, the translation for english is part of that agreement. And of it is true, - translation will be done by a group of specialists, and not so late, as you are afraid off Keep your hope alive.

Quote It depends on the strength of fan's will :) Also there must be at least one person who knows english well enough. To make translation sensible, not word-to-word. I see 4 of them at the moment, i think. =) About voices. I really doubt that there are many. Dunno about campaign dialogues, but smth tells me they are not voiced. Well, maybe there are some leader acknowledgments, but it's no big deal if they will not be translated. It'd even be a feature, like LotD speaking in latin, which few people know. Videos may be a problem. Mission loading screens may be a problem. Campaign texts, if they are closed in resources, may be the biggest problem. update Campaign texts are not a problem. Quote (Αμορφ Λεκς) кроме папки language, в которой лежат текстовые файлы со всеми сообщениями из игры translation: besides "language" folder, in which text files with all ingame messages lie update Qumi, some good new for the english-speaking part of the comunity. source Q: When will the europian/american realise be and who will publish the game in these regions? A: This is closed information at the moment. Negotiations with international publisher are at signing final stage.
